HILL AIR FORCE BASE — The commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base has advanced to a higher rank.
Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch, who arrived at Hill in July to take command of the air logistics center, pinned on his second star Aug. 2.
Busch was a brigadier general when he was named to replace Maj. Gen. Kathleen Close.
As commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center, Busch oversees the 75th Air Base Wing, 309th Maintenance Wing, 84th Combat Sustainment Wing and the 508th Aerospace Sustainment Wing.
Those four wings play major roles in Hill's mission, which is to provide worldwide logistics management, engineering, supply, contracting and depot maintenance for a wide variety of aircraft and munitions.
Busch most recently served as commander of the Defense Supply Center Richmond in Virginia.
