Police launch probe into bridal shop

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Police have launched an investigation after a Colorado bridal shop closed and allegedly failed to deliver wedding gowns that were bought and paid for.

Fort Collins police spokeswoman Rita Davis says that as of Tuesday, 51 brides had contacted authorities, saying Mountain Avenue Bridal had failed to provide them with dresses they purchased.

Davis says police and employees of the bridal shop are working with the brides to find an appropriate dress from 50 sample dresses seized from the store.
