The Utah Board of Tourism Development has announced approval of more than $1.45 million in funding from Utah's Cooperative Marketing program.
The board approved 32 of 52 applications submitted to the Utah Office of Tourism by nonprofit tourism entities from around the state.
Amounts range from just over $2,500 for Sevier County to $175,000 each for Ski Utah and the Park City Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Eligible participants for the Cooperative Marketing program include cities, counties, nonprofit destination marketing organizations and similar public entities that have been established as a nonprofit for at least one year. The tourism office matches up to 50 percent of the cost of the applicant's marketing project, which must use the Utah "Life Elevated" brand.
