SYRACUSE — Syracuse residents can meet candidates for City Council and mayor during a meet-the-candidates night Aug. 26.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m. at Bluff Ridge Elementary, will give residents access to the four mayoral and seven council candidates running for office this year.

A primary election will be held Sept. 15 to whittle the field down to two mayoral candidates and four council candidates.

"Find out who these candidates are," said Syracuse Mayor Fred Panucci, who is not running for re-election. "See who is aligned with your thoughts."

Bluff Ridge Elementary is located at 2680 S. Bluff Ridge Drive (770 West).

This year's general election will be held Nov. 3.
