ST. GEORGE — Two southern Utah men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing a pair of military-style weapons from a pawn shop.

Hurricane Police Sgt. Stacey Gubler says the young men — one 20, the other 18 — were booked into jail Friday after one of them revealed the location of the guns.

The weapons — civilian versions of an AR-15 and AK-47 — were found in a hidden spot on Kolob Mountain.

Police say they were stolen during a burglary Aug. 8 of the Cedar Post Pawn Shop in Hurricane, and that one of the weapons had been fired.

Gubler says each weapon is worth around $1,000.
