CLINTON — With a primary election for mayor and City Council this year, the Clinton youth council is hosting a meet-the-candidates night on Aug. 26.
The three candidates for mayor and eight candidates for City Council have been invited to participate in the event, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the Clinton recreation building, 1651 W. 2300 North.
The primary will be held Sept. 15 to narrow the mayoral candidates to two and the council candidates to four.
Early voting will be available during the two weeks leading up to the primary election.
