Salt Lake Bees infielder Sean Rodriguez was named the Pacific Coast League's Player of the Week for his performance the week of Aug. 10-16, the league announced Monday.
In four games, Rodriguez went 8-for-11 with three home runs, one triple, one double and eight RBIs. His best outing came on Wednesday when he went 4-for-4 with two home runs and a season-high seven RBIs to lead the Bees to a 10-5 win over Nashville.
Rodriguez, 24, has appeared in 90 games for the Bees in 2009, hitting .295 with a team-high 26 home runs and 87 RBIs. He also has 15 doubles, five triples and eight stolen bases. In 12 games for the Los Angeles Angels this season, he owns a .200 average with two homers and four RBIs.
