Weigh to Health classes offered at Provo hospital

Utah County residents looking to lose weight and learn a healthier lifestyle can enroll in a new set of Weigh to Health classes on Tuesdays at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Classes will be taught in the hospital's northwest plaza classroom No. 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for 12 weeks starting Sept. 1.

Taught by a registered dietitian, the class focuses on weight loss and healthy lifestyles that will help participants fight the battle against obesity. Participants will develop personal goals using eating style and exercise assessment tools, learn to manage nutrition, activity and behavior, and track intake and exercise.

Cost for the course is $225, which includes 12 months of follow-up classes after the initial 12-week course. Pre-registration is required prior to beginning the classes. Monthly payments can be arranged. Call 801-357-8143 to register.
