"Rudo Y Cursi" (Sony, $28.96) — ★★ — This tone-deaf comedy-drama keeps trying to convince us it's lighthearted. Spanish with subtitles.

"Sunshine Cleaning" (Overture/Anchor Bay, $29.98) — ★★1/2 — A confused muddle, with an inconsistent tone but some rewarding moments. Amy Adams stars.

"Trouble the Water" (Zeitgeist, $29.99) — ★★★1/2 — A documentary that's the best of the films made on the subject of Hurricane Katrina.
