PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh has approved a permit for a protest rally the day before the Group of 20 economic summit and has picked two locations for protesters to gather when the world's economic leaders meet next month.
Mayor Luke Ravenstahl isn't identifying the locations, saying details still must be worked out with the Secret Service. But he says they will be "within sight and within sound" of the convention center where the summit will be held Sept. 24-25.
The city also is considering legislation to address public safety.
