PARLEYS CANYON — A fiery auto accident along the canyon's eastbound lanes snarled traffic for several miles Friday night.
Traffic was reduced to one lane near milepost marker 138, about 38 miles east of Salt Lake City, where an RV was engulfed in flames the road.
The vehicle had apparently leaked a 200-foott stream of gas behind it, which had also ignited and was burning alongside the congested highway traffic, UHP officials said. No injuries resulted.
The vehicle may have caught fire from either its brakes or an overheating engine, officials said.
