A gunfight outside a downtown Salt Lake bar resulted in at least one arrest but no injuries late Thursday night.

Just before 11 p.m., a fight inside Moe's Grill, 358 S. West Temple, spilled outside the building. The fight between two groups was believed to be gang related, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan.

One group fired at least four shots and the other fired at least six rounds, witnesses told police. At least two vehicles were hit, but no one was injured.

After the shots, the groups dispersed almost immediately and were almost all gone by the time police arrived. Descriptions of the vehicles seen leaving the area were broadcast to surrounding police agencies. Davis County Sheriff's deputies spotted one of the vehicles near Clearfield and pulled it over.

A juvenile inside the car claimed he fired several shots in the air and was booked into detention for investigation of firing the gun and possession of a stolen firearm.

An investigation continued Friday.
