WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are searching for a man in his 20s who robbed a Zions Bank Wednesday evening.
The man was armed when he walked into the bank at 3712 S. 3500 W. around 6 p.m., said West Valley Police Sgt. M.T. Johnson. Johnson said the robbery was fairly cut and dry as the man "produced the gun, demanded cash and then fled on foot."
Johnson said the man headed toward an area where there are a number of parking lots. He said police believe he may have had a vehicle waiting.
Police said the robber had tan skin, an unshaven face and acne. They said he was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and aviator sunglasses.
