FULLERTON, Calif. — The University of Utah soccer team (2-0) won its second straight contest to start the year, defeating Cal State Fullerton (0-1) by a 3-1 score Sunday on the Titans' home field. Sophomore forward Chelsea Forbes scored the game-winner, finding the back of the net for the second time this season.

Utah got out to a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute as senior midfielder Kelly Isleib scored her second goal of the season. A failed clearance from the Titan defense fell to Isleib, who took a wide-open shot that found the left side of the goal. Isleib has now tallied two goals and two assists in two games, leading the team with six points.

The Utes carried the one-goal advantage until the 57th minute, when Forbes struck gold to make it 2-0 on what she called a "crazy" goal. Junior forward Lauren Hair received a ball in the box and played a back-heel pass to sophomore midfielder Kellie Woodfield, who played another back-heel that found Forbes.
