A few years ago, my husband and I helped with a reading program at an elementary school. Around Christmas, we called Mary Kaye Huntsman and asked if our class could visit the Governor's Mansion to see the lovely decorations. Not only did we see the beautifully decorated mansion, but Mary Kaye gathered the children around the Christmas tree and read two stories to them showing the children the lovely pictures as she read. As the children left, she thanked them for coming and gave each one a storybook and a gingerbread cookie.

It was something those children will always treasure in their hearts.

Mary Kaye has always been a lovely, gracious first lady of Utah.
