TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. — The man in charge of security for Miley Cyrus says a 53-year-old accused of attempting to stalk her claimed he planned on returning and "finishing things."

Robert Merriman is a former police detective hired by Walt Disney Pictures to protect the 16-year-old Cyrus while she filmed a movie on the Georgia coast. He told a Tybee Island judge Tuesday that Mark McLeod (mik-LOWD) made the statement on tape to an investigator.

Municipal Court Judge Steven Scheer declined to lower McLeod's $55,200 bond, saying he feels McLeod is "a danger." He says there's enough evidence to send the case to Chatham County State Court.

McLeod's attorney James Byrne said he doesn't believe McLeod posed any threat to Cyrus.
