The Westminster women's soccer team began its four-day trip to Hawaii with a 2-0 loss against Hawaii Pacific on Thursday afternoon. The NCAA DII opponent managed only nine shots and five on frame, but took advantage of two goals by Meghan Fuller to claim the victory. With the loss, the Griffins are now 0-3 on the season with all three losses coming against a team from the NCAA ranks.

Fuller struck first in the game's 35th minute when she headed in a direct kick. She scored her second goal of the game in the 77th minute following a turnover by Westminster's keeper Lindsay Bekken. The Griffins finished the game with an 11-9 advantage in shots; however they only got four shots on target.

Seven Westminster starters went the full 90 minutes, while just three Griffin substitutes saw any action. Heather Hillam managed five total shots with four on goal. Megan Maldonado was the only other Griffin with multiple shots and she only had two. Bekken finished with three saves while suffering her second loss of the season.
