Based on tips from neighbors, Salt Lake narcotics detectives served a search warrant Thursday night on a woman's Sugar House home.
Once they began looking around the house and the backyard, officers saw what might have tipped off other residents: a 9-foot marijuana plant.
The large pot plant was discovered in the backyard of the home near 1600 South 1000 East just after 9 p.m. Also discovered inside the home were more marijuana plants, a loaded gun and drug paraphernalia.
Charges against the 49-year-old female homeowner were expected to be screened by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.
