If I understand correctly, Equality Utah is seeking rights and protection because of sexual orientation. Let's look at that word "equality." As a heterosexual, I do not have special protection because of my sexual orientation, so why should someone who is homosexual get special protection? It seems that as far as sexual orientation goes the law is equal now. Equality Utah is looking for more-than-equal-treatment. Heterosexuals are not a protected class. Neither are homosexuals. If this were really about sexual orientation, equality has already been achieved.
