IBM chief economist Philip L. Swan will be the featured presenter at a special Utah Technology Council industry breakfast event, set for 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Rose Room at Thanksgiving Point.
Swan will discuss the state and trajectory of the worldwide economy, including major technology-specific trends and what entrepreneurs and other executives in the technology arena can do in order to maximize the survivability and progress of their companies in this environment.
He also will focus on the impact of developments in housing, automotive, financial and other key markets on the greater economy, as well as an assessment of significant developments in the U.S., China and other national economies.
