Letters like Don Lee's (Readers' Forum, Aug. 27) asking everyone to make nice now that a president he likes is in office and accusing the right-wing of hate, mud-slinging and half-truths absolutely astound me. His letter, word for word, could have been just as applicable anytime the past two terms. How did he miss the incessant eight-year left-wing vitriolic onslaught against the previous president? I wasn't his biggest fan, but I was astounded daily by the dissing, drubbing and disrespect directed his way. The sudden left-wing call for sweetness and civility — since January — is the most literal example of pure unadulterated hypocrisy I have ever witnessed.
