Salt Lake County sheriff's investigators Saturday were looking for a man who robbed a jewelry store.
A man walked into William's Jewelers, 3941 S. Wasatch Drive, about 10:20 a.m. and asked one of the three employees in the store to look inside a bag he was holding, said Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson.
As the employee started to look, the man pulled a gun from inside the bag, he said. The man took cash from the register and an undisclosed amount of jewelry before leaving.
The robber was described as a black man in his 30s, about 5-foot-8, and was last seen wearing tan clothing and an ivy cap. There were no customers in the store at the time, and no one was injured.
Anyone with information can call the sheriff's office at 801-743-7000.
