Income will shrink

Jobs are created when businesses expand, an event occurring only when demand for a particular good or service exists. Fluctuations in demand are directly dependent upon the consumers' disposable income.

President Barack Obama has stated that his cap-and-trade bill will cause consumer energy expenditures to skyrocket. Those skyrocketing expenses (combined with higher taxes) must reduce middle-class disposable income. The result can only be fewer jobs and a lowering of our standard of living.
