Alpine celebration includes parade, fireworks

ALPINE — Alpine Days continues Saturday with numerous events celebrating the Utah County city.

Saturday events kick-off with a 6:30 a.m. flag ceremony at City Hall and firefighter's breakfast ($16 per family, $3 adults, $2.50 children).

A 5K run/walk is at 7 a.m. and loops around City Hall (registration $7 day of race), and an around-the-block-toddler-trot for kids will be at 8:30 a.m. on Center Street (registration $3 day of race).

The Alpine Days Parade will start at 10 a.m. from the LDS Stake Center at Canyon Crest Road and end at Alpine Elementary School. A Classic Car "Show-Off," "Beauty of our World" art show and quilt and textile show will continue throughout the day.

That night, a bull riding show will go on at 6 p.m. at the rodeo grounds (tickets $10 at gate, if available) and fireworks will light the sky at 9:45 p.m. at Burgess Park.
