Constituents ignored

What a "profile in courage" Congressman Jim Matheson projects! While the entire country is concerned about the pending health- care legislation before Congress, a bill whose total cost could equal 20 percent of the GDP, Matheson has no plans to host any town hall meetings where he might actually have to hear the people in his district express their concerns and answer their questions. While his Web site says "I enjoy hearing from Utah residents about the important issues of the day," his absence speaks volumes. Clearly the old Bedouin proverb still applies: You can dress the shepherd in silk, but he will still smell of the goat.
