Education undervalued

Utah has proven once again that practically everything is more important than money for education. Many other students and I have spent two years earning our associate degrees in order to receive 75 percent tuition assistance promised by the New Century Scholarship. This scholarship, awarded by the Utah Board of Regents, has now been cut. For me and my contemporaries, this cut is inexcusable and heartbreaking, leaving us with the understanding that academic achievement and a mature work ethic (in high school) means nothing to this state.
