MAPLETON — Some members of the City Council would rather sing on Wednesdays than sit in council meetings.
Beginning this month, the City Council meetings will revert to Tuesdays.
Mayor-elect Brian Wall informally canvassed the council and most wanted to meet on Tuesday, City Administrator Bob Bradshaw said.
The council has been meeting on Wednesday for the past four years, but that schedule clashes with other activities council members want to participate in, including the Mapleton Chorale's weekly rehearsals, he said.
"State code requires … cities meet at least once a month — otherwise we have discretion on day and frequency," he said.
