OGDEN — A structure fire in Ogden early Thursday caused $100,000 in damage after an entire building and a semitrailer were totally consumed by the flames, officials said.
Ogden firefighters responded to the call at H & S Pallet Co., 2300 E Ave., just before 5 a.m. and found both an "outbuilding" and a truck on fire, said Deputy Chief Chad Tucker.
Smoke was coming from the windows and doors of the building, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze to those areas, preventing it from spreading to other property.
The building, the semitrailer and the products within the building were all a total loss at a value of around $100,000, Tucker said. The fire started in the building and appears to have been electrical, he said.
Firefighters from Roy and Riverdale also helped battle the blaze. No injuries were reported.
