A year or so ago, I had the opportunity to work with Sheldon Killpack in his capacity as vice president of Academica West. When I heard about his recent troubles, I was not surprised when I read that Mr. Killpack had resigned his Senate seat. In my limited dealings with him, I have personally found Sheldon to be an ethical individual. His greatest desire while dealing with me was to do the right thing for everyone involved. Though we did not end up hiring Mr. Killpack and his company, his character and his example of doing the right thing in the right way has stayed with me. I don't know Mr. Killpack well enough to have an opinion about the allegations that have been leveled against him, but based upon my observations and my personal experiences with him, I am confident he will eventually end up on top.
