BYU football: Mountain Crest QB Kuresa verbally commits to BYU

PROVO — BYU's football program received a verbal commitment from a high school quarterback over the weekend, though he won't sign a letter of intent until February, 2011.

Mountain Crest High junior QB Alex Kuresa pledged to Cougar coach Bronco Mendenhall over the weekend, according to totalbluesports.com. The 6-foot, 175-pounder picked BYU over Utah and Utah State. Kuresa is the younger brother of former BYU offensive lineman Jake Kuresa.

Alex Kuresa is the fourth player to commit to the Cougars for the class of 2011, along with running back Manoa Pikula and defensive end Baker Pritchard from Bingham High and Pleasant Grove linebacker Austin Heder.
