SALT LAKE CITY — Three young women were solicited for sexual favors by an unknown man who approached them last November on the University of Utah campus, according to prosecutors.

Charges filed in 3rd District Court state that a Draper man approached a 19-year-old woman in a U. student-housing parking lot near Chapel Glen on campus, asked if he could kiss her rear end and then grabbed her and tried to pull down her pants.

The man later asked another 19-year-old girl if he could touch her breast and then grabbed her waist to pull her toward the shadows, the charges state. He also allegedly accosted a 17-year-old girl the same day, asking to kiss her rear end, as well. When she declined, he followed her, according to the charges.

The women identified Michael Lawson Hans, 33, in a photo lineup. He was charged with sexual battery, a class A misdemeanor, and two counts of attempted sexual battery, a class B misdemeanor.
