National debt treasonous

SHARE National debt treasonous

The Constitution defines treason against the United States as, "giving them (its Enemies), aid and comfort." Strange as it may seem, I have no hesitation in charging our Congress with collective treason against the people of the United States of America. The sacred obligation of our House and Senate is to be guardians of the republic, but they have been traitors to it. Our national debt is the enemy to which they have given (and are giving), aid and comfort.

It has been stated many times that the most significant threat to our national security is our debt. On Nov. 30, Erskine Bowles (co-chair of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform), warned that "The deficit and debt is like a cancer, . . . . And it's going to destroy our country from within."

I would implore everyone to contact their senators and representative and insist that they support the recommendations of this bipartisan commission immediately. Yes, it will be very painful, but infinitely better than the alternative. And lastly, demand they do whatever it takes to prevent the dollar from collapsing internationally, with resultant hyper-inflation here at home.
