Dora LaRue Kennington Faircloth 9/25/1930 ~ 12/13/2010 Dora, also called LaRue was born in Logan, Utah to Joseph William Kennington and Sigrid Antonia Skanchy. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in education and taught elementary school in several Utah schools including Dugway and Garrison. She also served as a school librarian. In addition to her work in education, she held several secretarial positions working at Hill Air Force Base and later, in Nevada, for the Bureau of Land Management. Dora was a gentle, quiet woman with a passion for reading, education and especially for children. She was a devoted caregiver to her younger brothers and also to her special needs son, Alan. Throughout her life, she shared her love of learning with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard Kennington and her son, Alan W. Faircloth. She is survived by her sister Carol Reichenbach, brother James H. Kennington, daughters Brenda Waltch and Gloria Conrad, son Roger D. Faircloth, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her final resting place will be next to her parents at Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Utah. No formal service is planned at this time.
