SLCC campus briefs

SOFTBALL: The Bruins prevailed over Western Nevada in 13-0 and 10-2 in St. George on Thurdays. Salt Lake CC collected 30 hits over the two games and on the mound SLCC pitchers allowed 2 runs and 4 hits over 12 innings of play. The Bruins are 16-0 overall and 4-0 in SWAC play.

Sarah Clark struck out eight batters while going 2-4 at the plate. Katelyn Elliott smashed a three run homer and finished the game 3-4. In the final game of the series Jordyn McDonald didn't allow a hit over three innings while collecting eight strikeouts. Shaynie Phillips added to the offensive onslaught with a three run home run and Cyd Allen was 2-2 at the plate with a two run home run.

Salt Lake (16-0, 4-0 SWAC) will face College of Southern Idaho (13-5, 4-0 SWAC) tomorrow at 1 p.m. in St. George.
