North S.L. selects new city manager

NORTH SALT LAKE — The North Salt Lake City Council recently selected a new city manager to replace Collin Wood.

Barry Edwards, who had been Highland's city administrator until his contract was canceled in December, was appointed to North Salt Lake's top managerial post in January.

Edwards, who worked for Highland for 11 years, said at the time that he asked for the cancellation.

Edwards was selected from a pool of 35 applicants, said city recorder LaRae Dillingham.

Wood retired after 31 years as city manager of North Salt Lake, making him one of the longest-serving city managers in the state.
