How to fix Congress

Recent polls show the public approval of Congress is at a record low. To find out why, look behind Congress. It's not a pretty sight. Business interests and lobbyists control the behavior of our Congress with their money and other favors. During the debate over the health care reform plan, the insurance industry was spending $1.5 million a day.

This has to be fixed. Here's how:

Install term limits for all senators and congressmen.

Mandate spending limits on all political campaigns.

Do not allow any political advertising through the media 60 days before Election Day.

Make it easier for a third party to qualify for campaign money.

Do away with the Electoral College.
