WOMEN'S LACROSSE: The Westminster women's lacrosse team announced its schedule for the 2010 season on Tuesday.

Westminster has 14 games scheduled for the upcoming season, including five at Dumke Field. They will have one game against each of the seven other teams in the Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse league.

The season begins on Friday with the first of back-to-back road games against Boise State. The Griffins visit Santa Barbara, Calif., for the Santa Barbara Shootout on Feb. 12 and 13. At the tournament, Westminster will play four games in two days beginning against Davenport University.

The Dumke Field opener is on Friday, March 5, against Colorado State.

On March 6, the Air Force Academy and Wyoming visit Dumke Field. The two remaining home games are on March 19 against Brigham Young and March 20 versus Pepperdine.

The regular season concludes with a three-game road swing at Colorado Mines, University of Denver, and Northern Colorado.

This is the second season of women's lacrosse at Westminster. The Griffins went 3-6 during the inaugural 2009 campaign. They are now under the direction of first-year head coach Niki Harding. They return 11 players from the 2009 team, including Erika Rebentisch, who led the Griffins with 23 goals last season.
