SOFTBALL: The unbeaten Bruins upended the College of Southern Nevada 13-1 and 9-1 in a doubleheader Friday at Salt Lake City. Salt Lake Community College is now 22-0 overall and 10-0 in conference play.

Cyd Allen blasted a three run homer in the bottom of the first to begin the SLCC rally. Salt Lake put up 10 runs in the third inning, with Katelyn Elliott and Stacie Graham each hitting a two-run homers. Sarah Clark picked up the win, allowing five hits and one run.

Jordyn McDonald struck out nine batters in the second game to pick up her 10th win. Graham was 2-for-3 with a home run and a double.

SLCC looks to complete the sweep of Southern Nevada today, with the first pitch scheduled for noon at Bruin Field.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The fifth ranked SLCC women's basketball team defeated Colorado Northwestern 80-60 on Friday night at Rangley, Colo.

A huge second half propelled Salt Lake Community College to the easy win, as the Bruins shot 59 percent from the field in the second half. SLCC is now 21-5 over all and 13-4 in SWAC play.

Haley Holmstead led SLCCe with 23 points and Mina Jovanovic scored 17 points off the bench. Salt Lake outrebounded Colorado 36-27 and held them to 29 percent shooting in the game.

SLCC heads to Price, Utah, to face the College of Eastern Utah today.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team took an easy 88-44 road win over Colorado Northwestern on Friday night at Rangley, Colo. The Bruins are 21-5 overall and 12-4 in SWAC play.

Wil Carter finished with a double-double, scoring 14 and collecting 15 boards for SLCC. Collin Chiverton finished with 21 points on 5-of-11 shooting from behind the 3-point arc. John Hayward-Mayhew added 14 points and Darrian Norris dished out 10 assists.

SLCC heads to Price, Utah, to face league-leading College of Eastern Utah today.
