Mormon Helping Hands tidies Pioneers Museum

IMPERIAL, Calif. — Volunteers dressed in

bright yellow "Mormon Helping Hands" vests descended upon Pioneers

Museum in Imperial on Saturday to tidy up the property.

Marc

Pipkin is second counselor for the Imperial Valley stake of The Church

of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He said Pioneers Museum is a

wonderful organization to benefit."We really think they do a

lot of good for the Valley," Pipkin said. "They preserve the history of

the Imperial Valley, and we realized it'd be a good organization to

help support."About 80 volunteers from Mormons' various Valley churches turned out to

volunteer. They pulled weeds, raked and tidied the gardens, among other tasks.
