Ethics policy a joke

Having the legislature police its own ethics is like having prisoners monitor their own confinement.

Will the politicians pass an ethics bill if pushed hard enough?

Yes.

Will it be so vague and in such confusing legalese that the public won't be able to really know what is going on?

Probably.

Will lawmakers live up to the conditions of the bill?

Maybe.

Will they vote it out as soon as it affects their power or re-election?

Guaranteed.
