Jordan tax minimal

Where does your family spend $10 every month? Do you go to the movies or rent DVD's? Maybe you order pizza or takeout. When Jordan School District patrons say they don't want a tax increase to help support their schools and their own kids' education, do they know what kind of dollar amounts are involved? The tax increase that has been proposed would entail less than $10 a month on a $200,000 home. That $10 would net $14 million for the school district where their children attend school.

As a parent, I would gladly pay double that to keep class sizes down and teachers and programs intact.

Jordan School District has spent years building up incredible programs. It is heartbreaking to see the decimation that will follow without more money.

Support your kids. Pay for the education you value.
