Obituary: WARD, ROSE

Rose Dredge


1917 ~ 2010

Rose Dredge Ward, 92 died Febuary 22, 2010 Born Sept. 11, 1917 in Malad ID, she married Rulon A. Ward in the Logan Temple in1936. They lived and ranched in Snowville UT for 37 years then moved to Santa Clara UT for 20 years. She was a Nurses Aide at the Dixie Medical Center in the newborn nursery. She belonged to the Dixie Literary Club and the DUP.

She served in the St. George temple for 13 years. She and Rulon enjoyed traveling to Switzerland, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean. In 1991 they moved to Sugar City ID.

Rose is survived by three of her children, Karolyn (Arlin) Bartschi of Sugar City, Sheila (Spencer) Daines of South Jordan, and George (Sheila) Ward of St. George, two sisters, Norma Hill of St. George, and Elaine Mills of Malad, ID, four daughters-in-law, Marylynn Spahr of Malad, Rebecca Brockbank of Bluffdale, Julia Ward of Spanish Fork, and Barbara Atkin of St. George.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, David R. Ward and Allen D. Ward, granddaughter, Rosanne Bartschi and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 1 at the Sugar City Stake Center. Friends may call Sunday 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Monday prior to services at the stake center. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to the LDS Humanitarian Fund, Missionary Fund or Perpetual Education Fund.
