INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD: The Wildcats are set to compete in the annual Mountain States Games on Friday and Saturday inside Holt Arena on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello.
Teams and individuals from Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Utah are expected to be in the field. This is traditionally one of the largest indoor meets in the intermountain West each year.
Trials in the 60 meters, 60 meter hurdles and 200 meters will be held on Friday, along with the 5,000 meter run and various field events.
The finals in the short sprints and hurdles will be held on Saturday, along with the rest of the running and field events.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Wildcats are joining over 1,600 colleges and universities across the nation in participating in National Pink Zone Week, sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Weber State's Pink Zone game will be Saturday against Montana State at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
All fans wearing pink will be admitted free to the game. In addition, the first 300 fans in attendance will receive a free Weber State Pink Zone T-shirt.
The WBCA Pink Zone initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. In 2009 the campaign raised over $1.3 million, reached over 912,000 fans, and unified more than 1,600 participating teams and organizations..
Fans at Weber State's game Saturday will be encouraged to donate to the McKay-Dee Hospital Cancer Center.
