Camp helps kids

I was happy to see the BYU basketball team wear pink last week against Utah to support cancer awareness. It is wonderful to see so much support recently for those who are coping with or recovering from cancer.

One population, however, is sometimes forgotten. Children who have a parent who is suffering from or has died from cancer have a very difficult time coping, and there are very few resources out there to help them in their difficult time.

One resource in Utah is Camp Kesem — a weeklong summer camp for young children who have a parent suffering from cancer.

A silent auction will be held March 27 to raise money for this year's summer camp. All proceeds will go to funding Camp Kesem. Contact BYU@campkesem.org.
