BYU gymnastics: Cougar gymnasts eager to compete

Though the BYU gymnasts might not be putting up the scores they think they're capable of yet this season, they are starting to put the injury-plagued 2009 season behind them and are just concentrating on competing this year without fear of injury.

The Cougars are looking forward to coming home after two meets on the road and will face No. 20 Denver and Utah State in a tri-meet at the Smith Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. tonight.

The Cougars began the season at home with three solid events before falling on the floor, and they haven't been quite as consistent since then, but coach Brad Cattermole believes the team is just waiting to break out and needs to find a way to come into the meets without so many jitters.
