Valentine fun; and fun for the unromantic

Love is in the air. If you and your sweetheart are still looking for the perfect Valentine's Day activity, there are plenty of theaters offering just that.

And for you folks who might be less than interested in Cupid's day, there are a few for you, too.

"Love Letters," Feb. 13, 7:30 p.m., The Grand Theatre, 1575 S. State.

This second annual presentation features local writer Holly Mullen and her husband, politician and environmentalist Ted Wilson.

The play follows the correspondence of two people from second grade to adulthood, as they learn what it means to love another person and discover your true self.

"Father of the Bride," Holladay Arts! Feb.12,7 p.m., Holladay City Hall, 4580 S. 2300 East.

Real-life couple Jeremy and Jennie Jonsson head the cast of this 1949 novel turned stage play about a family whose lives are turned upside down when their daughter gets engaged.

The show is free for Salt County residents, $2-$5 for everyone else.

Salt Lake Community College Health & Wellness Services present Eve Ensler's hit play to help raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls. Special performance by Dottie Dixon.

This is a benefit for the Salt Lake Rape Recovery Center.

"The Hanging of El Bandito," Pickleville Playhouse, Feb, 13-15, Eccles Conference Center, Logan.

Pickleville brings back its most popular show just in time for Valentine's Day. This original show stars T.J. Davis, Cory Keate, Michele Ringer, and Whitney Davis.
