BYU public relations students vying for top spot

PROVO — It's a bit awkward to promote yourself, but BYU public relations students have earned the right to do it.

The international magazine PRWeek recently named BYU's PR program one of the top programs in the country.

The other top-five finalists are NYU, Howard University, Georgetown and Alabama. The magazine will announce the winner of the PR Education Program of the Year March 11 in New York.

BYU's program, in the College of Fine Arts and Communications, has five full-time faculty members, one full-time director of the Bradley Public Relations Agency, a student-run PR firm and 164 students.
