Violetta Beverly Rogers, aged 75, passed away on March 22, 2010 at her home in West Valley City, Utah of breast cancer.She was born March 3, 1935 in Albany, New York, the daughter of Albert Peter Glosser and Violetta Ruth Glosser. She married David Elerson Baker on October 16, 1954, who preceded her in death in 1997. She married Wayne T. Rogers on November 2, 1974, to whom she was married for 24 years. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by her sister, Wanita Lois (Wood) Schneider of Arcadia, Florida (and husband George, deceased). She is also survived by her children, David Elerson Baker, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Loretta (Baker) Chamberlain of Denver, Colorado; Rebecca Baker of Gemert, The Netherlands; and Denise (Baker) Camacho of Springfield, Virginia, as well as 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She will live forever in our hearts and memories.
Beverly was a past president of Rebekah Assembly of Utah, and a member of Omenia Rebekah Lodge #15, IOOF, of Sandy, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), where friends may call Wednesday, March 24th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 So. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 1275 Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84103.
