SALT LAKE CITY — Delta Air Lines continued to cancel flights between Salt Lake City and Paris Friday and into Saturday due to volcanic ash that has settled over parts of Europe after a volcano beneath the Eyjafjallaj?ull glacier erupted Wednesday in Iceland.

Delta Flight 0170 that was scheduled to leave Salt Lake City at 5 p.m. Friday and land in Paris at Charles de Gaulle Airport Saturday morning was canceled. The same flight is still scheduled for Saturday, but it is subject to change, depending on the air quality in Europe, said Delta spokesman Anthony Black.

Delta flight 0171, which was scheduled to leave Paris Friday morning and land in Salt Lake City at 2:05 p.m. Friday afternoon, also was canceled. The same flight from Paris to Salt Lake City on Saturday was canceled, as well.
