WEST JORDAN — Two women who police say were dealing drugs "throughout the valley" were arrested Thursday night.
When SWAT team members and narcotics detectives entered the women's house, 9263 S. Tanya Ave. (2300 West), they found three young boys inside, ranging in age from 6 months to 9 years, Salt Lake police said.
In addition, a variety of drugs were seized, including meth, Ecstasy, marijuana, a morphine tablet, hydrocodone and codeine, as well as a handgun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, scales and packaging material.
Kristina Shannon, 31, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a restricted person and child endangerment. Samantha Daniels, 18, was booked for investigation of drug possession and child endangerment.
The children were handed over to their grandmother.
